Lies for Leo
When artist Mike Lash and his daughter Ivy met their newborn neighbor Leo, they thought they should set the record straight on a few of life’s little mysteries.
Adults love imparting their vast wisdom about the “truths” of the universe upon children. It’s an honest enough gesture to help bring a sense of order amidst the perceived chaos that is all around us. Especially since studies have shown that a four year old may ask up to four hundred questions a day. Unfortunately, many of these pearls of wisdom simply aren’t based in fact, and wind up causing us to scratch our heads when we finally realize that for all these years we have been duped.
All submitted lies will be considered for future images and books.
